There are businesses that have spent years—even decades—building a solid foundation, and without realizing it, they end up with a website that no longer tells their story, or at least doesn’t do so effectively. That was the case for RèCOP Restauracions Arquitectòniques, the Tarragona-based firm behind the restoration of the façade of Casa Batlló, the Roman amphitheater in Tarragona, and the Vallbona de les Monges monastery. Thirty years in business, clients such as the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Museu d’Història de Barcelona… and a website that just wasn’t up to par.

A Website to Commemorate the 30th Anniversary
The previous version of recop.net worked, but it had fallen short. The menu lumped projects and lines of research together in the same section, without any clear distinction. The company’s history—it celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026—was summarized in a flat list of years and awards, without any visual elements to help users follow it. And the homepage, although it had good content, did not convey the true stature of a company that works with top-tier institutions and brings to life projects on the scale of the restoration of the façade of one of Antoni Gaudí’s masterpieces—whose centennial is being commemorated in 2026.
The problem wasn’t the content. It was that the site’s structure had failed to support it.
