Does the GDPR affect the forms on my website or online store?
We can safely confirm that the new European regulation GDPR affects most, if not all, forms that appear on my website or online store.

How does the GDPR affect web forms?
In each web form we should inform, with total clarity and in understandable language, of:

  • Purpose: the purpose of the data collected.
  • Responsible / Identity: indicate who or who will be responsible for the data processing (the company, the representative, your DPO / DPD,...).
  • Recipients: information on whether or not the transfer of data to third parties exists.
  • Legitimation: user consent.
  • Rights: explanation of the rights of the user / interested, such as access, modification and rectification of the data, withdrawal of consent or other rights.
  • Additional information: we can link to other legal texts of the web, to extend certain additional information.

It is highly recommended to add a new unchecked "checkbox" field, so that the user / interested party indicates that they accept the receipt of commercial information via the different means used by the company type (newsletters, bulletins, email, push notifications, sms, post mail, …).

This consent to receive commercial information, whether affirmative or negative, can be very interesting to guard, automate and manage for a possible inspection in case of complaint.

NOTE: these recommendations, as well as the texts, must be confirmed with the responsible company or consultancy hired by your company, for the management of regulations, laws and regulations on data protection (LOPD or GDPR).
